Gender Sensitivity Workshop (CBSE CBP)
A Gender Sensitivity in schools Workshop (CBSE CBP) for Teachers was conducted at Poorna Prajna Public School on 20th December 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The resource persons were Ms. Ira Vishwakarma and Ms. Kamanna from CBSE.
Ms. Ira Vishwakarma, a retired Vice Principal and OSD, Vidhya Bharti School, has been actively involved in environmental and social initiatives. Ms. Kamanna, a Lecturer with the Directorate of Education, GNCT Delhi, is a recipient of the Delhi State Teacher Award 2022 and CENTA Wall of Fame Award 2023.
The workshop was organized under the guidance of Vice Principal ma’am, Dr. Anju Singh and CAO sir Mr. Rajbeer Singh Tewatia. It began with lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana, with all teachers participating actively. The workshop aimed to create awareness about gender sensitivity, focusing on transgender individuals and other gender-related topics. The session was fruitful and informative, helping participants understand the importance of creating an inclusive environment.
The workshop enhanced participants’ understanding and provided strategies to support students dealing with gender-related challenges. It was beneficial for the school, which has students facing such issues, and will help foster a more inclusive atmosphere.
Dr. Anju Singh, Vice Principal ma’am, and Mr. Rajbeer Singh Tewatia, CAO sir, extended their gratitude to Ms. Ira Vishwakarma and Ms. Kamanna for their valuable insights and contributions. They appreciated all the teachers for their enthusiastic participation, making the workshop a success.
