FOUNDER’S DAY CELEBRATION – 2026
Poorna Prajna Public School, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, celebrated a 4 day Mega Festival on account of its Founder’s Day from 4 July 2026 to 9 July 2026,with profound reverence and devotion in honour of its revered Founder Father, His Holiness Sri Sri Vibhudhesha Theertha Swamiji. The celebrations, centred on the theme, “Drug-Free Living – A Step Towards a Healthy Future,” reflected the institution’s steadfast commitment to nurturing socially responsible, morally upright and health-conscious individuals. The four days long observance brought together students, teachers, parents, distinguished guests and members of the management in a meaningfu
l tribute to the timeless ideals of the Founder Father.
As a prelude to the celebrations, a Poster Making Competition was organised on 4 July 2026 for students of Classes VI to XII. The competition provided a creative platform for students to express their thoughts on the importance of a drug-free lifestyle and the need to build a healthier society. The winners of the competition were Dhanya Ranjan, First (IX B),Aadya Choudhary ,Second (IX D)and Pratyasha Dey, Third (XA).
To extend the message beyond the school campus, students from classes V to Vlll , participated in a Drug-Free Living Awareness Rally in the neighbouring locality carrying informative placards and slogans,raising awareness. They actively engaged with the community and encouraged citizens to reject substance abuse and embrace healthy living. The initiative was well received and reinforced the school’s commitment to social responsibility.
As part of Founder’s Day celebrations 2026, a ‘Drug Awareness Talk ‘was conducted for students of Classes V to XII.
Student leaders including the Head Boy, Head Girl, Vice Head Boy, Vice Head Girl and Jala House Captain conducted interactive classroom sessions.
They spoke about the harmful physical, mental, emotional and social effects of drug abuse and urged students to adopt a healthy, disciplined and drug free lifestyle.
A Special Assembly held on 8 July 2026, marked another significant milestone in the celebrations. The programme commenced with the morning prayer, followed by an enlightening Speech by Pallavi of XA, on the life, vision and teachings of His Holiness Sri Sri Vibhudhesha Theertha Swamiji. A thought-provoking skit presented, by the students of class IX and X, effectively conveyed the importance of discipline, moral values and responsible decision-making in today’s world.
Little artists of Balvatika brought colours to life in a fun colouring activity conducted on 8July 2026.
A Grand Founder’s Day Celebration was organised in the school auditorium on 9 July 2026. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and chanting of Gayatri Mantra by the students of class V, creating an atmosphere of devotion and solemnity. The event was graced by Guest of Honour Ms. Smriti Rana, Chief Guest Mr Abhijit Sarkar, Management Committee Member Dr. N. Vijayaditya, Principal In-charge Dr. Anju Singh, Newly elected PTA members along with parents, teachers and students.
The welcome address reflected upon the inspiring legacy of the Founder Father and reaffirmed the institution’s dedication to preserving his vision through value-based education.The distinguished guests were welcomed and felicitated with saplings and mementoes as symbols of gratitude,respect and environmental consciousness .
A major highlight of the celebration was the release of the third edition of School’s E-Booklet by the Chief Guest. An inspiring audio-visual presentation depicting the life, philosophy and enduring contributions of His Holiness Sri Sri Vibhudhesha Theertha Swamiji left the audience deeply moved and encouraged them to imbibe his ideals in their daily lives.
The cultural segment showcased the remarkable talent of the students through a graceful yoga demonstration , followed by vibrant dance performance on ‘Madhuram’ making everyone immerse in the divine essence of Radha and Krishna, presented by the students of classes Vl to X.Thus celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage and timeless values. Each presentation reflected meticulous preparation, creativity and confidence, earning enthusiastic appreciation from the audience.
Recognising excellence formed an integral part of the celebration. Founder Father Scholarships were awarded to Sanskriti Prasad and Arnav Dwivedi of Class X B for scoring highest marks in English and Science respectively, for two consecutive years. Winners of Science and Mathematics Exhibition were also felicitated, with the First Prize awarded to Yashika Jeena and Divyansh Parashar (Class XII A), the Second Prize to Dhruv and Hardik (Class XI A) and the Third Prize to Deeksha and Sruthika (Class XI A). The winners of the Poster Making Competition were likewise awarded for their creativity and social awareness.
In his inspiring address, Chief Guest Mr. Abhijit Sarkar urged students to cultivate discipline, integrity and a healthy, drug-free lifestyle while striving for excellence in every sphere of life. Guest of Honour Ms. Smriti Rana appreciated the confidence, talent and commitment displayed by the students and encouraged them to pursue their academic aspirations with determination and perseverance.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Anju Singh, Principal In-charge, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, management, staff, students and parents for their invaluable support and participation.The celebration came to a close with the National Anthem.
The Founder’s Day Celebration 2026 stood as a fitting tribute to the noble vision of His Holiness Sri Sri Vibhudhesha Theertha Swamiji, reaffirming the school’s unwavering commitment to holistic education, character building and the creation of a healthy, responsible and value-driven society.
